Accessibility
Last updated: 22 September 2026
We build websites for a living, so it would be poor form if ours could not be used by everyone. This page says what we aim for, what we have actually done, and where we still fall short — because a page that only lists the good parts is not an accessibility statement, it is an advert.
What we aim for
Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, which is the standard most legislation points to, including the European Accessibility Act and Section 508 in the United States.
What is in place
— The whole site can be used with a keyboard, without a mouse — Headings follow a real order, so a screen reader can navigate by structure — Images that carry meaning have text alternatives — Text meets the required contrast against its background — The site works at phone width without horizontal scrolling — Animations respect the system setting for reduced motion: if you have it on, they do not play
Where we still fall short
Being straight about this is the point of the page. — Some older portfolio images carry alternative text that is too brief to be genuinely useful — The scrolling animations on the online store page, although they respect the reduced-motion setting, have not been tested with every screen reader — Some third-party embedded content is outside our control and may not meet the same standard These are on our list, not filed away.
